En Open 650(Mini) Pogo 1 är snart min! Igår anlände handpenningen till säljaren i La Rochelle. Grymt kul och spännande! Båten, Alizé 2, levererades från varvet Structures i december 2000 och nuvarande ägaren köpte henne 2007. Då var hon relativt lite seglad. Han har rustat henne för Mini Transat men kom i våras på att det var för tufft för honom. Och jag har full förståelse. Dessutom träffade han en tjej och ska nu köpa hus. Båten är välutrustad, i fint skick, och med Pogo 2:ans roterande bogspröt och assymetriska spinnakrar.
Planen är att åka ner och avsluta affären och segla lite med ägaren i oktober/november. Sedan lyfter jag upp båten på ett varv i La Rochelle. Sjösättning till våren. Sedan är det ganska öppet. Huvudsyftet med båten är att ha kul och att utvecklas som seglare. Kanske har jag båten i Frankrike under våren för att segla lite där. Om allt känns bra och det funkar med ledighet och en till två personer till i besättningen seglar jag sedan hemåt. Slutlig hemmahamn blir förmodligen Bullandö på Värmdö. Jag avser att ha båten till både racing och cruising. Jag är också intresserad av att öka intresset för klassen i Sverige och få ihop så många som möjligt till diverse shorthandedseglingar i Skandinavien. Minis ser ju så grymt coola ut i grupp, i hamn är de lite flockdjur tror jag.

Alizé 2 i mitten. Om styrbord en Pogo 2 och om babord en Zero. Alla Open 6,50, eller Minis som de också kallas.
Nedgång utan rufflucka. Precis som på den Ravage 36 jag uppfostrades på i tonåren.
Navbord till höger. Och bortmonterat kök till vänster och gasolen i mitten. Så kör de flesta som seglar Mini Transat. Men jag ska nog skruva tillbaka originalskivan till köket på babordssidan.
Stickkojer, cd-spelare, GPS, elcentral, nödsändare(epirb), hydraulpump till autopiloten, livflotte, VHF med mera.
Stora “assyn” är på cirka 70 kvadrat. Svart och krispig!
