I helgen var jag och min gode vän Markus i La Rochelle för att segla min Mini 6,50 som fortfarande ligger i sjön. Lördagen bjöd på 7-10 sekundmeter och fullt med båtar ute på vattnet. Markus var glatt överraskad över styrförmågan med två roder när vi slörade med stora spinnakern. Hans kommentar var att det kändes riktigt kontrollerat att broacha. Riktigt härlig segling var det i alla fall.
I söndags varnade prognosen för 10 Beaufort och storm ute på Biscaya. Vi åkte ner till hamnen men tog ganska snabbt ett sjömansmässigt beslut att stanna i hamnen. Vindbyarna inne i hamnen toppade strax över 50 knop (25m/s) och för att komma ut ur hamnen var vi tvungna att kryssa ut i havssjö med två knops motström i en relativt smal passage. Vi fick istället chansen att kolla hur förtöjningen betedde sig samt provhissa och kolla skotpunkterna för stormfocken. Sen gjorde vi en utflykt ut på Ile de Ré. En fantastiskt vacker ö precis väster om La Rochelle. Det blev en del bra bilder, se nedan.
