Lördag 23:e april finns jag med som gast ombord på Ulf Brändströms Nacira 650 när Classe Mini-säsongen inleds med årets första race på Franska Atlantkusten. Tävlingen heter Demi-Clé och är cirka 150 sjömil och seglas på två personer. Start i Locmiquélic utanför Lorient och målgång i St Nazaire i Bretagne.
Det är så klart en hel del logistik och förberedelse som måste klaffa bara för att vara på plats till starten. För att börja nånstans har jag ritat upp den preliminära banan och torrseglat en vända i Google Earth. Ni hittar en större karta här och en kml-fil till Google Earth här. Jag transportseglade min båt i dessa vatten i somras men Ulf har mer erfarenhet av banan. Tips och tricks mottages tacksamt!

– If the wind is light go far away from Pen-MEn (Nw of groix) a longer route will avoid getting stuck a few hours (happened to me twice)…
– Opposite : Bivideaux you can touch the lighthouse, take inside from everybody and pass a couple, it is deep, no worry !
– South of belle ile, it is wonderful, go close and open your eyes, a bit scrary if the weather is rough but you will regret to be racing and not mooring if it is a light eastern wind…
– A bit everywhere but especially before entering The bay of pornichet (guerandaise mark) : Take car of the tidal currents !
