Structures i Frankrike till den förste ägaren i december 2000. Hon är den 88:onde Pogo 6,50 av cirka 140 byggda. Pogo 6,50 eller Pogo 1, som den också kallas, är den Mini Transat 6,50 som byggts i flest exemplar och prototypen vann det stormiga Mini Transat 1995. Mini Transat är en solokappsegling över Atlanten.
Jag köpte båten i La Rochelle 2009 och hade henne på Atlantkusten tills jag seglade hem henne till Stockholm 2011. Vintern 2008/2009 förbereddes båten inför Mini Transat 2009 av den tidigare ägaren som är utbildad båtkonstruktör på Southamptons universitet för båtdesign. Hans dröm om Mini Transat blev inte verklighet den gången. Båten är därmed relativt lite kappseglad och i toppskick.
Båten är optimerad för att segla ensam men funkar lika bra för två. Den hydrauliska autopiloten med gyro och true wind option från NKE är världsledande bland soloseglare. Det är en fascinerande känsla att sitta med fjärrkontrollen på fördäck när båten planar fram i havssjö med stora spinnakern uppe. Det funkar bra tack vare de dubbla rodren, den starka styrarmen och möjligheten att ställa piloten på sann vind. Med två rejäla gelbatterier om 105 Ah och 90 watt solpanel blir det väldigt sällan brist på ström. Fjärrkontrollen till autopiloten gör också stor nytta inne i skärgården.
