Mitt tredje seglingsäventyr med Talanta blev också det lugnaste. Efter att ha rundat Mallorca satte vi kurs mot Sardiniens södra udde, 270 sjömil österut, vilken vi nästan sträckte upp till på en styrbordsbog. Sen blev det några slag runt Sardinien innan vi styrde vidare mot Siciliens västra spets, 180 sjömil österut. Fortfarande sträckbog men även en del stiltje som vi tog oss igenom per motor.
Väl i höjd med Sicilien vred vinden mot väst och vi kunde sätta ‘Grand spi’ och skära ner mot Afrika för att sedan gippa mot Malta 150 sjömil åt sydost. Precis innan det var dags att gippa österut mot Malta lyckades vi broacha och samtidigt få till timglaset “from hell”. När vi tillslut fick ner spinnakern påminde den om ett hårt rullat rullsegel, se bild nedan. Sammanfattningsvis var det ännu ett fantastiskt äventyr med Talanta. Problemet är bara att man aldrig kan få nog :). Än en gång ett stort tack till familj och alla barnvakter som ger mig möjligheten att komma ut på de stora haven. Även ett stort tack till Ryking Ocean Racing för alla upplevelser. Och grattis till utnämningen “årets havskappseglare“. Och klassvinsten i Middle Sea Race. Det går bra för Talanta!!!
